Interserver Established in 1999, has a lot of popularity in the hosting field. The company is providing all kinds of plans, including shared hosting and reseller, and in case you need more resources, you can take advantage of their VPS and cloud solutions.
In addition to the regular plans, the company also offers placement and management solutions such as options to host their servers with them, and OS migration and managed mail solutions.
When we were doing our review, we tested some of the plans and inevitably tested the billing control panel as well. Generally, at least for the sake of paying your bills, you will have to use the billing account that comes with your hosting plan. That is why design, flexibility, and ease of use are important characteristics when evaluating the overall value of a company.
In this case, through the billing account login tab, you can check your packages and the latest forum messages. As well as be connected to the chat support directly from this page in case you need any help. You can manage your domains, plans, backups, SSL, etc from the other tabs. With almost any billing account, you can open a ticket directly from there. The general impression is that it is easy to use, without too much information or ads to distract you.
Interserver Hosting Plans
The Interserver website divides your hosting plans into several categories. Your focus seems to be VPS hosting, which is where most of the options are located.
We will explore your hosting packages in the order in which they are appearing on the site.
- Web hosting is essentially shared hosting, although it mentions web hosting in the cloud on the product page. All resources are unlimited, including disk space, bandwidth, databases, and email. Clients can host unlimited domains.
- The reseller hosting is a fairly standard product division in five variants. Disk space and bandwidth are measured. It is interesting to note that MySQL is installed on SSD for faster performance.
- VPS hosting in the cloud can be purchased from OpenVZ or KVM, Linux or Windows, and from a data center on the west coast or east coast. Each one has a price in “portions”, with a slider that allows customers to select the resources they need. Prices include administration, but only for the software installed by Interserver.

Some Advanced Features of Interserver!
Here we are going to list some other advanced features that you are going to enjoy while using Cloud hosting of interserver. Even most of these features are also available on shared hosting.
WHM / cPanel – here again there are no surprises and for those of you who have worked with this panel before, it will look the same way here. who have never touched a cPanel, it is, by far, probably the most stable and easy to use, manage and configure control panel.
For VPS and Cloud solutions, in case you decide to take a Windows solution, no control panel is offered. For Linux plans WHM / cPanel and Direct Admins are the available options. Interserve also offers co-location in its New Jersey data center.
Interserver Uptime / Idle Time
Interserver offers a 100 percent performance uptime guarantee on co-location. However, it is not a guarantee of uptime.
There is no obvious uptime guarantee on your web hosting product (shared hosting), but there is an operational guarantee of 99.9 percent on VPS plans. On the specifications page of the data center, it is mentioned that the uptime is 99.5 percent. This is quite deficient compared to other hosting providers.
There does not seem to be up-to-date statistics on the website, although there is a page of network tools; It presented a 404 error when I visited it.
As mentioned at the beginning of the review, Interserve has its own data center in New Jersey and it seems that it rents space in a center in California. There is a data center camera on the site, but the camera or applet did not work when this review was made. However, there are some photos and specifications. The data center is divided into two floors, each occupying 8,000 square feet. Features include air conditioning, ceiling air conditioning, raised floors, biometric locks, fire extinguishing and UPS power.
I found information about backups in a June 2012 forum post, although I have no reason to believe that the information has changed. According to the entry, backup copies of shared hosting and reseller accounts are made daily, weekly and monthly. Plans for dedicated servers and VPS do not have backup copies. A more recent entry in the Interserver blog suggests that VPS customers use the cPanel backup system.
Assistance is offered through a web portal, and the support staff seems to be their own. There is a knowledge base (very small), a forum and a ticket system. Some of the resources shown on the portal, such as the problem solver, do not really link to anything.
Telephone assistance is available 24 hours a day and there is also a live chat assistance function, which is 24 hours a day. On the support site, there is a news blog, which is actually more of a hosting blog in general, in addition to various social media links.
Interserver in the Press
After a bit of research, I have not found anything about Interserver in the press.
The extras offered in Interserver are not very different from those of other hosting providers. Shared hosting clients can use a site creation tool and take advantage of a range of one-click installers (WordPress, Joomla, phpBB, SMF, and others). There are no marketing or advertising credits in the offer.
Money Back Guarantee
Interserver provides peace of mind through a 30-day money back guarantee only on shared hosting plans. Customers of dedicated servers, VPS and co-location can request a refund before their server is configured. Plans are billed monthly and there are no long-term contracts or exit fees: if you want to leave, simply cancel and you will not be billed after the current month is active.
It seems to me that Interserver has established itself in its niche and clearly has the technical infrastructure to be considered established. I imagine that most of their income comes from co-location in your New Jersey data center.
This is reflected in the fact that the support material is a bit vague and not very detailed and, as well as the guarantee of uptime, it is not published consistently. Their packages are not as distinctive, but they are affordable, and I was impressed with the scalability of their VPS hosting plans.
